About Me
Profile: Paul Harris, a tall bowler with shoulder-length blonde hair, quickly became an integral member of Graeme Smith's new all-powerful South Africa line-up in Test cricket in 2007 and immediately earned the respect of his captain for his ability to provide attacking or defensive options. Historically South Africa has struggled to unearth quality spin bowlers, with the obvious exception of off-spinner Hugh Tayfield in the 1950's, but Harris has shown sufficient potential in his first year of Test cricket to show how he can more than ably back up a potent pace attack. He has prospered under the coaching of Titans coach Richard Pybus, having earlier moved from his native Western Province for opportunities at first-class level. His finest moment to date was his tour of Pakistan where he claimed 12 wickets in the two-Test series that South Africa won 1-0.
